Upcoming exhibition March 6, 2026 The Shape of Light at Five Walls Gallery and Project space in Melbourne, Australia

The Shape of Light reunites five artists, Amy-Jean Mitchell, Alexandra Severinsson, Tinieka Page, Eve Bracewell and Matthew Swift, who worked alongside each other amidst the broken structures of an abandoned industrial park in Barreiro, Portugal, during the summer of 2024. Though diverse in practice, the artists formed an uncanny connection under the intense glare of those August days along the banks of the Tagus River. Dark shadows and searing brightness coursed through the crumbling concrete, shaping each artist’s response in distinct yet resonant ways.
